It is not necessary to turn the ice maker control to the OFF position. The ice bucket is not properly installed. SOLUTION Close the freezer compartment door. Shake the bucket occasionally to keep cubes separate and to increase storage capacity. Large amounts of ice should be taken from the bucket, not through the dispenser. Follow instructions for a proper water supply to ice maker. THE ICE DISPENSER STOPS WORKING. The dispenser has not been used for extended periods, causing the ice cubes to melt together. The ice dispenser lever has been held in for too long. OFF-TASTE OR ODOUR TO ICE. Ice absorbs airborne odours. Water quality. Food not properly wrapped. The ice bucket and the freezer compartment may need cleaning. Plumbing connections to ice maker. The first few batches of ice from a new ice maker may have an off-taste. Throw the first few batches away and make a new supply.
